Discussion Board Added to www.illinoisvalleyoregon.com and www.ivoregon.com

There are all kinds of Bulletin Board systems out there. After some testing I picked one that I liked. Its now installed and located here : http://www.illinoisvalleyoregon.com/ivbb1/


The trick was to customize it enough to be consistent with some formats that I had already decided to use. The last part was making sure that a single link added to all that PHP code would not stop the Bulletin Board / Discussion board from working.

The next step was to add a number of forums and topics that I hope will inspire conversation. Its terrible to add a forum that simply says Forum! So I have made a number of sections for people to try. Time will tell if the design meets what people are interested in.

The naming scheme for this website is based on the geographic location of Illinois Valley, Oregon. The Illinois Valley region is located in the South West region of Oregon. If you are unfamiliar with the area, use your favorite maps to locate Cave Junction, Oregon U.S.A. This city is located right in the heart of the Illinois Valley Region. Coincidentally Cave Junction is at the Junction of Highway 199 and Highway 46. Highway 46 is the highway that leads you to the famous Oregon Caves National Monument. There is much more to the area than one town and one National Monument. This blog cannot describe the entire area in this posting. Hopefully you will learn more about the area from the website!

We are beyond a test signal stage and content is beginning to appear on the website.

Over time you should see this web location be an additional source of news, events, activities and general information for the people and businesses in Illinois Valley Oregon and surrounding areas. We are aware that this is not the first website to talk about the area. Thanks to the World Wide Web you have many ways to get information.
